CARLISLE — Select Board awards Fire Station Renovation contract to second-lowest bidder. Chair Scott Triola announced the apparent lowest bid failed to qualify as lowest and most responsive and responsible bidder due to the cost of the roof add alternate. The second bidder's proposal fits the published budget, and the town will not initially pursue the roof upgrade.
The board also committed to verbal support for the DPW Building project should debate occur at Town Meeting.
