CARLISLE — Select Board visits Benfield Farms Apartments, documents resident grievances on maintenance and rent. Chair Scott Triola, members Travis Snell and David Thomas, Town Administrator Ryan McLane, and Assistant Town Administrator Aubrey Thomas toured the three-floor complex at 575 South Street and heard from residents about heating failures, electrical problems, unresponsive management, rising rents, and inadequate maintenance spanning 13 years. Residents submitted a 26-point complaint list covering windows, carpets, trash collection, snow removal, and building systems.

The board agreed to review complaints and convene a follow-up meeting with local legislative delegation and the Neighborhood of Affordable Housing to address concerns.
