Carlisle Trails Committee approves $500 conservation funding for DPW equipment purchase. The committee unanimously voted to allocate up to $500 from Community Preservation Act funds toward a $9,500 stand-up mower for the Department of Public Works to maintain trails on town conservation land at the February 4 meeting chaired by Alan Ankers. Chair Ankers' panel, which operates conservation priorities across Two Rod Road repair, Greenough trail development, and Eagle Scout projects, also announced two membership transitions: Kath Hardcastle stepping down to associate status due to work travel, and Sarah Carmichael moving to associate rank upon completing her three-year term this summer, opening two full-member positions for public recruitment.
