Transfer Station panel plans waste-reduction outreach ahead of Select Board vote
Transfer Station Action Committee · Meeting of March 20, 2026
CARLISLE — Transfer Station Action Committee approves multi-channel waste-reduction communications plan. The panel, meeting virtually on March 20, welcomed new member Julie Kleyn and endorsed outreach initiatives including a "Trash Talk" column in the Mosquito, transfer station signage, documentary screenings at Gleason Library, and bi-annual community information tables. Member John Petrie is developing a FAQ document to ensure unified messaging ahead of a Select Board vote on a food waste mandate scheduled for April 14; the committee will reconvene within one week to review its contents.
If approved, a press release and letter to the editor are planned for publication one week after the decision.
