Youth Commission approves ping pong table, books ice cream truck for May.
Youth Commission · Meeting of April 7, 2026
CARLISLE — The Carlisle Youth Commission approved a new ping pong table purchase and secured an ice cream truck for May at a remote meeting Tuesday. Chair Brooke Mackintosh's motion to book the truck at $1,200 passed unanimously; planning for a June food truck event was postponed. The April Friday Night Live event held at Roller Kingdom drew approximately 110 students of 135 registered, with two minor injuries reported: a fifth-grader's broken wrist and a sprained ankle.
Students requested alternatives to roller skating venues and suggested laser tag as a future option. The commission set May's Friday Night Live theme as Graduation and June's as Pride.
