Carlisle Activates Transfer Station Permit Enforcement, Posts Summer School Hours

It's a quiet Friday heading into the last weekend of June, but Carlisle Public Schools has posted summer learning resources for families, and the town's Transfer Station permit enforcement is in full effect.

TOWN HALL

Transfer Station permit enforcement is now active. Residents who need a same-day permit transaction can visit the Police Station, where credit and debit card payments are accepted. All other transactions will be handled by mail; cash is not accepted. Full details are available on the Transfer Station page at carlislema.gov.

SCHOOLS

Carlisle Public Schools has published summer learning resources on its website for families looking to keep students engaged between now and the fall. Summer reading lists are available for all grade levels, and math practice tools are posted to help students stay sharp over the break. The school's main office is operating on summer hours — 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays — and Summer School runs July 6 through August 7. During that period, the School Street lot is closed to public parking on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the playground is reserved for student use during those same hours. The next Carlisle School Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, at 10 a.m.
