Concord-Carlisle School Committee Approves $400,000 Transfer for Amenities Building

CARLISLE — July 10, 2026 — Concord-Carlisle Regional School Committee unanimously approved a $400,000 capital transfer and a new project manager hire to advance its amenities building project toward construction. Meeting jointly with the Concord School Committee on July 10, the regional body voted 7-0 to appoint Doran Whittier as owner's project manager, with Vin Miller — who oversaw the Concord Middle School building project — serving as project director. The committee also voted 7-0 to transfer $400,000 from the CCRSD capital stabilization fund to cover a sewer connection fee now estimated at $270,000 to $280,000, plus OPM and design engineering costs for the construction phase; a prior $135,000 feasibility expenditure was funded separately. Member Tracey Marano noted the fund was created precisely for this purpose: "This is why we have a capital stabilization fund, so we can actually get this project started." Facilities staff said construction bids are expected late the following week, with a vote to accept a bid targeted for the last week of July.
