CARLISLE — Concord-Carlisle Regional School Committee adopts climate-tracking framework, closes FY26 budget almost to the dollar. The committee, meeting jointly with Concord's own School Committee and including Carlisle's regional representatives, approved $40,384,952 in year-end spending with just $706 left over. Finance director Bob reported the district's retiree-benefit trust grew from $11.7 million to $14.3 million, lifting its funded ratio to 70.7 percent, after the district cut its annual contribution to $89,000 amid budget pressure from a roughly 9 percent rise in Carlisle's enrollment-driven costs.
"It's one market crash away" from reversing, Bob cautioned. Members also voted unanimously to adopt a new framework for tracking bullying, bias incidents and student wellbeing data three times a year, dissolving the working group that built it. Superintendent Hunter cited new cross-town coordination with Carlisle's interim superintendent, Brad Crozier, including a same-day MCAS portal rollout in both districts.
