CARLISLE --
HIGH SCHOOL -- Concord-Carlisle Regional High School's boys' and girls' soccer teams played their first games of the season, a student government update told the Concord-Carlisle Regional School Committee on Sept. 9. Student representative Mark Pallone said the school's Black Student Union and the Pathways club are organizing a fundraiser tied to the "Kicks for Cancer" event, working to sell shirts with a portion of proceeds donated. He also said homecoming, hosted by student government, was set for that Saturday at the armory for all four grades, alongside a planned pickleball tournament after school during an early-release day, a senior sunrise, and a badminton tournament.
At the district's opening-day assembly, recapped for the School Committee, 2026 CCHS graduate Laz Keita read a poem he wrote about playing lacrosse at the school as a Black Muslim student. Keita, now a freshman at Merrimack College, could not attend the assembly in person; district staff shared a recording with the School Committee.
