Carlisle Human Services Committee Launches Search for New Member
Other Committee · Meeting of April 15, 2026
Carlisle's Human Services Committee reported charitable distributions nearly double last year's pace and began recruiting a new member. Treasurer Catherine flagged a $14,000 receipt into the silent fund from the Trustees of Reservations, enough to cover spring campership awards coordinated by Bonnie Wilbur. The committee approved minutes from January, February, and March 2026, all in unanimous voice votes, and confirmed the May 12 meeting date.
Chair Jill identified five candidates for preliminary outreach — including Elizabeth Paley, Elaine Wallace, Julie Lynch, Amy Cappofrede, and Shuba Gopalakrishnan — with the goal of seating a new member at the May meeting. The group also debated whether to draw on the Hugh Cargill Trust to prevent a reduction in the property tax relief program's current $425 quarterly payment, with that decision deferred to May and contingent on guidance from town resource Wendy.
