Carlisle Select Board Seeks Public Input On Marijuana Delivery Waiver
CARLISLE — Carlisle's Select Board is asking residents to weigh in on whether the town should request a two-year waiver from the state that would let Carlisle opt out of allowing marijuana delivery services within town limits.
TOWN HALL
The Select Board posted a News Flash seeking public input on the proposed waiver, which would ask the Commonwealth to exempt Carlisle from marijuana delivery operations for two years. The board did not set a deadline for comment in the notice, but residents with views on the question are being encouraged to weigh in before any formal request goes to the state.
Town Hall's other recent items, including the CPC grant cycle deadline and the Nov. 16 Special Town Meeting, remain on track with no new developments today.
SCHOOLS
Carlisle Public Schools' summer session runs through today, August 7, after which the district's regular building restrictions ease. During the summer program the main office kept shortened hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., the School Street lot was closed to parking on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the playground was limited to student use during those same hours. Those restrictions were tied to the summer school calendar and are expected to lift now that the session has concluded.
